Every child has a unique way of learning. Our Learning Support program celebrates these differences. We believe that when students are met where they are and supported in the best ways for them, they can achieve great growth and find joy in learning.
A Team Dedicated to Individual Growth
Our Learning Support teachers are passionate advocates for personalized education. Marlon Felipe, one of our dedicated Learning Support teachers from Secondary School, shares, “"I'm proud to be a Learning Support teacher at Keys because we provide different ways for each child to succeed, honoring their unique learning journeys. It's fulfilling to work as a team and see our students grow in confidence, independence, and joy in learning."
Teacher Yas Santiago, who is also a Learning Support teacher from the same department, explains that “as a learning support teacher in Keys, I’m proud to make a meaningful difference in the lives of students by helping them access learning and build confidence. I take pride in promoting inclusion and ensuring that every child feels valued and supported. Collaborating with teachers and families to create personalized strategies allows me to empower students and celebrate their progress. The strong relationships I build and the empathy I bring to my role help create a more compassionate, inclusive school environment.”
These insights capture the heart of what we do: creating multiple pathways to success while celebrating each student's individual strengths and progress.
Building Grit and Resilience
Our approach is based on research-backed practices that support long-term success. Angela Duckworth's (2016) concept of grit, defined as "passion and perseverance for long-term and meaningful goals," is central to our philosophy (as cited in Almario and Zamora, 2025, p. 215). We work to instill this quality in all our students, helping them build the resilience needed to face challenges and pursue their goals.
Progress Over Perfection
At Keys School Manila, we encourage all students to focus on self-improvement instead of comparing themselves to others. Our goal is to help each child become better than they were last week, last quarter, or last school year. This growth mindset approach builds confidence and encourages students to take charge of their learning journey.
Through our Learning Support program, we create an environment that celebrates differences. We face challenges with creativity and compassion, ensuring that every student has the chance to discover their potential. At Keys, we don't just teach subjects; we nurture the whole child.
