Summer Reading Adventures Near and Far

At Keys School Manila, we believe books possess a truly magical power—the ability to whisk readers away to distant cultures and worlds, whether real or imagined. This sense of adventure is more than metaphorical for our students, many of whom have the incredible opportunity to experience diverse places and people firsthand through travel around the Philippines or abroad during summer break. We encourage making the most of these journeys by coupling them with engaging literary works that provide deeper cultural context and connections to the destinations visited. Reading great literature is a profound way to gain insight into the rich histories, traditions, and perspectives that shape a locale while also allowing students to intimately relate what they've seen and encountered to the vivid stories being told on the page.
